Descrizione

Pianta cespitosa, alta fino a 1,5 m.; mwhafusti legnosi striscianti, con rami ascendenti; corteccia bruno-scura; mwhqfoglie verde scure intere, ellittiche, glabre, coriacee e lucide finemente dentellate; mwhginfiorescenza apicale densa, mwhwcorimbosa; mwiapetali rosei; mwiqfrutto ovoide rosso cupo a maturazione.

Distribuzione e habitat

La specie è diffusa in gran parte dell'mwjaEuropa (mwjqAlbania, mwjgAustria, mwjwBulgaria, mwkaRepubblica ceca, mwkqFrancia, mwkgGermania, mwkwGrecia, mwlaItalia, mwlqPolonia, mwlgRomania, mwlwSpagna, mwmaSvizzera, mwmqex-Jugoslavia)cite-ref-powo-1-1[1]

Pianta poco comune, fiorisce sui pendii rupestri subalpini dai 1500 a 2000 m.
